Hello again everyone!
I have to say that I love .. yes LOVE Zumba! I can't get enough of the music and dance and the game of Zumba: Core for the Wii. Today I spent 60 minutes out of my day in three twenty minute intervals throughout my day off playing that game. I couldn't help it! Despite my breathing and my cold I still wanted to and it made me feel good and just overall happy!
Also today I noticed I wanted to drink more water. I should drink more water actually and I think I might actually try to drink the cucumber water in my fridge (it's in cans and somewhat carbonated but does hold less calories if none at all compared to say pop.) I know I mentioned cucumber water before and I think I might actually get another water filter for my brita filter and then create cucumber water from an actual cucumber. It's apparently good for getting rid of all that bad stuff. Coconut water, didn't go so well the last time but I think it's because it had pulp in it. I think I need it without pulp to try and see what happens. It would definitely be better than pop I think that's for sure.
I am also aiming to eat more of what I actually buy and fill up my freezer with things such as muffins and bread that I can take out once in a while , thaw and have for breakfast/lunch/dinner. My mother also gave me some cereal to try which has nuts , lots of nuts and fiber in it. I don't know that I need that much fiber however I do know, yes it's a yucky topic that some don't wish to speak about but constipation is something that seems to run in my family. I know that when I was younger I had to drink senna tea because it was so bad and yes it really does work for those who want a homeopathic method. But keep in mind that you probably shouldn't go to school or work while taking it, like I did and ended up taking it in the morning, by the time I got on the bus for the ride home my bowels were in so much pain that I had to run to the house from the bus once I got home! It wasn't pleasant but I know that stress and varying other medical issues can cause it and it in itself, as well as the other way, can be a medical problem and cause other issues.
I think that if I drink more water, take proper vitamins which I know I'm not getting enough of, eat a bit more fiber and protein, and work out at least 4 times a week with Zumba or other fitness routines etc. then I should end up losing the 50 lbs I want to lose by the end of the year. That is my goal. By summer I am hoping to lose at least 15-25 lbs by perhaps June or July. We'll see if I can do it!
I am also going to aim to get up earlier, I think 7:30 is reasonable time and my body seems to think that that's ok because otherwise I get headaches from what I can tell. Staying in bed is actually causing me to have more headaches rather than less. I remember when I started working at my call center job three years ago, I used to get up at that time and take some time before work to eat, chill out and relax and then head off to work at around 9:30 or 10 to be there by 11 am. I think that's what I'll start doing again. Perhaps this will help stress levels too since I can then work out in the morning a bit with some yoga or pilates options on the Wii.
Anyway this is all I have for this week or today. I'll probably write again in the coming days to see if there is any results from some of the changes I'm making. I may not see physical results, but I will feel it I'm sure. Otherwise everyone have a good week and stay healthy! Especially my Ontario friends, as we're in the midst of a flu break out!
Green vegetables are the best foods. High carb diets are for weight gain.
ReplyDeleteYes I have heard that veggies over all are the best option however I'm not about to become a bunny lol! And I know higher carbs can be bad but I can't resist my pasta and breads, all in moderation is the goal. :)There must be a healthy balance between it all!
